Samurai Mushroom is a free web comic about samurai vegetables in a mock-feudal japan setting. The lines of cultural accuracy have been ignored and there is lots of wanton destruction and fun for all!

Volume 1:
Wyrm Eat Brain takes place on the continent of Æther, where once ancient civilzations of amazing wealth and technology stood. Now all that remains of them are ruins that mearly wait to be discovered by explorers. One such adventurer is Kelvin, who left home to find work. He eventually runs into Mellissa, a hot-tempered sorcerous, and Uyku, a professional ruins-explorer. Together they try to run from their past, but inadvertantly fall victim to it.

Volume 2:
The trio finally settle their differences and head to the small town of River Break where they run into problems from their past, as well as a destructive sorcerous by the name of Mage Eyes.

Joe Gallagher's Freeland

Sometime in the future, Earth ventures on a quest to expand it's horizons by forming colonies on other planets. These ventures eventually gain the name Project FarReach. On the 6th FarReach Expedition Jacob Martin, his family, and their team of colonists discover that the resources they were sent for are indeed, not there. Now they are trapped on an alien world and the team must work hard in order to survive, without any help from home.
