It feels like September was over as fast as it started, but a hurricane will do that to you (me and mine made it through Irma with minimal damage. We were just without power for a week, which is nothing to complain about. :P).
This time last month I had activated the pre-order option for Sivoa: Sunrise at sivoa.dragonmun.com. This Friday (October 6th) I will be turning it off again so that I can make sure that I get the books to everyone on time. The books will officially go on sale everywhere next week Friday (October, 13th). Signed copy pre-orders have already been deactivated.
Thank you SO MUCH for your support with this! The concept of pre-ordering independently published books might seem weird, but what these allow is for me to order more copies of the books to bring to conventions, pay for extra to put with the books I’m mailing out, and pay for odds and ends like marketing or that one coffee that keeps me from having a meltdown on a long drive to shows. Your faith in a near-future product makes all of this possible, and for that I am so very grateful.
Speaking of conventions; on release day I will be driving from Central Florida to Central Alabama for Fal-Con, and awesome little everything convention held on the campus of The University of Montevallo. Guest duties there are a little light this year so It’ll be a party my art table! If you’re in the area, come check it out!
On the 14th I’ll be livebooking (is that what you call it when you’re doing Facebook stuff in realtime?) in a guest takeover for “The Other Half of Me” release party. It’s my first take-over, which a weird concept to me, but it’s totes around talking about my book/writing, so if you have an internet connection and an hour free on a Saturday, come check it out. I’ll be doing it live from the convention. X’D
After that it’s off to the Dia De Los Muertos & Monster Factory! Information on this and more can be found on the Events page.
