Dragonmun Products: A discussion

I’m sure that some of you have noticed that this year is a slow year for Dragonmun Studios in regards to the amount of conventions/shows I’m selling at.  This is largely because early on, I labeled this year as a “production year” so that I can kind of beef up my inventory for next year’s shows. This means that I’m creating all sorts of things, but instead of doing it all willy-nilly, I think that I should perhaps ask you guys what it is that you look for when you head into the artist alley at a convention.

By this, I mean products – not image content (with more and more conventions cracking down on fan-art, I would rather avoid their ire). I have been hearing more and more that people don’t want prints or posters because they’re running out of room for them – which is totally understandable. Unfortunately, this makes up most of my inventory and I would like to find a nice middle-ground for everyone. Sooo….

I would love to get a discussion going on this. This is after all, for you guys. 🙂

Regarding the shirt/clothing suggestion in the poll…

The overhead/up-front costs for clothing is kind of insane and hard to manage, unless I go with a print-on demand service like Zazzle or Cafepress. I have no problem with doing this, but I wouldn’t be able to bring it around to the conventions with me.
