*Please note, I am reworking this panel to address generative AI (my overall stance against it, but also my tolerance for certain uses of it).
The dividing line between illustration and prose is a misconception. Believe it or not, it's the perfect way for an author to collaborate with an artist! They both get to do what they love -building! In this panel I explain how authors and artists can communicate with each other in order to get that perfect book cover/plate/comic/etc.! It's really not as scary as it seems!
Requirements:
Two portable microphones in case the room is too large/acoustic-dampening for voices to carry.
A projector and screen (or a room that can get dark enough for me to bring mine with advanced notice).
